I wanted to share a letter I received from Connie Stover, a Surprise resident. Connie circulated her comments to her friends and family, but also asked that I pass them along to my list. With only one week left before Election Day, please take a moment to read Connie’s comments about my campaign and candidacy.
“Last week, I returned my ballot and voted for Mayor Lyn Truitt. I would like to share a few reasons why I support the re-election of Lyn.
Throughout the campaign, Lyn has remained positive, addressing his vision for bettering Surprise and highlighting his accomplishments. Unlike his opponent, Lyn has refused to participate in disparaging other candidates or creating falsehoods and rumors.
I believe in Lyn Truitt and his ability to lead our city. During the last four years, Lyn has proven his leadership:
· Brought two international companies to Surprise
· Created 1,000 jobs and over $150 million in local business investment
· Spearheaded the AZ TechCelerator
· Been named Chairman of the Maricopa Government Transportation Policy Committee
· Improved government transparency
· Worked to protect Luke Air Force Base
I believe someone’s true character is revealed during the campaign. Mayor Truitt has been honest, open, and clear with his plan moving forward. His opponent, on the other hand, has not offered any vision for Surprise and appears to be too busy smearing the accomplishments of our Mayor and city. The folks for Lyn’s opponent are working hard to put forth disparate stories and tout them as “facts” in order to confuse voters. I can’t imagine what our city would be like under her “regime” but I, for one, will be greatly distressed if her band of followers has something to celebrate on election night.
Please get out there and vote – and vote for Lyn Truitt. He has brought our city jobs, has brought three educational institutions to the city, has great credibility with other Valley leaders, and has stood up to protect Surprise residents and our quality of life.”
